Sydney based producer Sondrio has had an incredible year. After launching his new label Romantics, he’s seen over the release of three Night Music EPs and has 3 remixes coming soon on Australian labels Astrx, Double-Up Records and Of Leisure.

Sondrio’s relationship with Ciao Recs began when label head Crookers supported N.E.G.R.O.N.I in his sets. From there they began exchanging tracks and ‘Versey’ was signed onto the label.

In Sondrio’s own words…

‘Versey started life as a hip hop beat written at the end of sessions for Night Music III. I free played some Rhodes in and then reversed it which set the tone for the track. The next morning I decided to take the main sounds from the beat and essentially remix it into a club record. Phra’s guidance for Ciao was to break out of the house paradigm and do something different. I took that attitude into this record and couldn’t be happier.’

The EP includes a remix by Black Loops , arguably one of the hottest names in house through his releases on Toy Tonics and Gruuv. His remix transforms Versey into a jackin’ house burner, which we reckon will be ripping up dancefloors across the world.
