Based out of Berlin and steered by Matthias Speck (aka Back for Good), the Turn It Down Music label has been turning heads on a consistent basis since it first emerged in 2017. It has already played host to works by key electro and techno players such as Universo, DJ Overdose and Back for Good himself.
On their latest release they welcome Italian producer Alessandro Parisi into the fold, who impresses with his ‘Crystal Tears’ EP. The original is an up-tempo banger full of old-school electro sounds. Notable for its many dramatic vibes and trance tinges, the likes of which evoke memories of Age of Love’s classic self-titled jam. A tantalising cut which is relentless and is high-class electro, the sort that’s sure to appeal to legends of the genre such as DJ Stingray.
Another Italian, Armonics then opts to retain much of the original’s charm, placing it alongside an 80’s inspired Italo vibe that maintains a really classy, timeless vibe. Best known for his work on the Slow Motion label, his contribution here is one that’s far removed from the original but also one that grants the package an unlikely eclectic theme.
