PREMIERE – DVS NME – Within The Machine

On his first release since 2014, DVSNME has self-released a 15 track album featuring some of his most inspired music to date. This full-length effort pays homage to the traditional musical scales of Asian countries like Japan and China with a sonically varied collection of tracks that will leave the listener wanting more. The title of the album is a not-so-subtle nod to Electro pioneers Kraftwerk’s 1977 ‘Trans Europe Express’, with the album cover paying tribute to the Japanese art form of ‘Nyotaimori’, in which sushi or sashimi is served from the naked body of a woman. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines from Roland and Korg like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909. DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called ‘DarkScienceElectro‘ and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 10 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear and more.
