The fourth release in the whypeopledance catalog comes from Montréal’s Laurence Matte.

Last winter, Laurence found the time to bring to life her introverted slow-burners under the spiritual guidance of legendary racing horse, Monomoy Girl. Another angel overlooking the project is Laurence’s closest confidant for as long as she can remember, her grandma Louise, a character that comes alive in the EP’s title.

What started as some of her first ever studio sessions quickly took on lives of their own and later materialized into full-fledged chuggers in a friend’s studio, buried deep somewhere in the Montreal snow in the dead of the darkest season.
