We are cruising through the summer with the emotional, naughty and versatile After Me EP by Joal. The Berlin-based Artist returns to Urge To Dance accompanied by two splendid remixes, courtesy of Dario Dea and the UK duo ĀEMYGDALA. The EP opens with After Me, a truly emotional track and a story, a conversation between light and darkness, where the intensity of the bassline is in captivating contrast with the melody of the arp and the optimistic cow bells. Urge To Dance’s family member Dario Dea takes on remix duties for After Me. Inspired by the intriguing vocal chops and bringing in his trademark approach when it comes to pulsating basslines, he delivers a catchy and naughty version of the original track. The second original track is Alive, a much more straight-forward delivery with juicy and somehow restrained 90s house vibes, including spicy vocal cuts and intense synth stabs. To close the EP, the rising UK duo ĀEMYGDALA joins Urge To Dance with their raw and unorthodox remix of Alive. Their uncompromising deconstruction of the original track is a bomb, filled with mesmerising drums and percussions, intertwined with irresistibly dirty synths and twisted take on the main vocal.
