We must be the spearhead of our own movements, and MEANT is doing that with the forthcoming release of GET CLOSER EP, which has been penned and performed by founder and curator REMAIN as one half of the duo with daWad aka We Are Le Turfu.

This EP features two original tracks from the dance floor-ready pair, as well as a remix from French electronic music legend DJ OIL (R&S, Multi Culti), and is the follow-up to their debut ‘We Are Le Turfu’ EP released on LUMIERE NOIRE in Oct 2024. With decades of experience under their belts, this second studio effort flawlessly embodies their signature sound & carefully crafted production with this particular raw intensity driven by unpredictable hooks, perfectly matching the avant-garde sound MEANT is renowned for in its 15 year label history.REMAIN, on top of being MEANT RECORDS’ founder and curator, is a well-known Rex Club resident, and has a plethora of releases on labels including Throne of Blood, Darkroom Dubs, and Death On Wax.

daWad was born with music in his blood (pianist mother and his grandfather an organist and harmonizer) and previously co-managed the IRM label which released Traumer’s first records. With releases on KNTRL, La Dame Noir Records, Beachcoma and more, this new release marks his debut on MEANT. Now ready to unveil their machine-only live show, and to hit the road hard – REMAIN & daWad carefully selected those two tracks from their sessions in order to further orient you to the dancefloor whether you hear it at your local club, or in their live set.
