Rude Audio return with their latest EP on Zirkus Records ‘Rude Redux’. Following up on the success of the their previous release ‘Rudest’ which was championed by Andrew Weatherall and Don Letts amongst others.
Rude Audio are a DJ-ing and production collective who range in age from 19 to 53. Their origins are rooted in the gutters of south & north east. They have hosted underground parties, created critically acclaimed music and engineered for top artists Currently they can be found at Flaxon Ptootch in Kentish Town where they soundtrack monthly nights.
Rude Rudex sees the band spicing up their trademark sound with much eastern promise, throbbing electronics, leftfield house, acid squelch and woozy psychedelic dub operating between 108 and 120 BPM – fast enough to dance to, slow enough to let the music breathe.
‘To The Half Moon’ presents a collaboration of dub dance floor and classic John Barry style with dulcimer strings. Supported by an exceptionally well produced and mastered remix from Rich Lane which is made for those lose yourself moments in the early hours.
